Child Care Aware of Eastern Kansas is a regional Child Care Resource and Referral agency. Families can get referred to local child care programs that meet their needs. Providers can find local and regional training, profession development, and networking opportunities.

Hilltop Child Development Center is an inclusive community where children learn in a nurturing and academically rich environment and is the only NAEYC Accredited Early Childhood Center in Douglas County. Hilltop provides year-round care for children between the ages of 1 and 5 and after-school care for school age children.

The Lawrence Public Library is a community space to learn, connect and grow. The Library has resources and programs for families with young children including early literacy, online resources, book recommendations, 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and story times for all ages.
